Tracking Parameters

Append the click-through URL parameters to your landing page URLs. These parameter values use macros and do not need to be manually replaced--their values will be dynamically filled by the platform when the ad is served.

Your URLs should follow the structure guidelines available here.

Batch Spend Report

For Rockerbox to report on LiveIntent spend, you will need to deliver a standard spend report to Rockerbox. To do so, you will:

  • Turn on LiveIntent integration in Rockerbox
  • Contact your LiveIntent account manager to setup the automated report to be sent via email
  1. Go to Settings > Integrations, find LiveIntent, and click Enable Integration. Wait a few moments after enabling. Under Data Setup, you will need to retrieve your email endpoint to share with your account manager.

  2. Contact your LiveIntent account manager and ask them to set up the Rockerbox Custom Report to be sent daily (delivering yesterday's data), as a CSV, to the endpoint you retrieved from the integrations page.

The Rockerbox Spend report should include the following columns:

LiveIntent Viewthrough Attribution

The standard tracking for LiveIntent in Rockerbox reporting includes clicks only. Through our partnership with LiveIntent, you can enable an additional feature that allows Rockerbox to include viewthrough touchpoints in our attribution. This feature will require LiveIntent to deliver daily automated files to Rockerbox.

In order to set up this feature, you must first have enabled LiveIntent in Settings > Integrations. Once you've do so, click on Add Feature and select LiveIntent ViewThrough, and finally click Add.

This step will add all the necessary configurations in Rockerbox. The next step is to have your LiveIntent contact start the automated file delivery. Send to your contact the S3 delivery path, which will look like:

  • s3://rockerbox-[your account ID]/from-liveintent/standard

Find this value by going to Wrench > Batch, and looking for LiveIntent - Viewthrough. The S3 delivery path is included in the Delivery Instructions.

Once LiveIntent has this bucket info, they will start delivering files within 3-5 business days. These files will contain additional viewthrough touchpoints that will show improved performance for LiveIntent.

Viewthrough Attribution - How Does It Work?

LiveIntent serves display ads in an email environment. Normally, in order to track viewthrough, Rockerbox requires platforms such as LiveIntent to drop impression-tracking pixels. However, in email environments, these pixels are unreliable.

Instead, Rockerbox relies on LiveIntent attribution data in order to include viewthrough. This data includes all ads LiveIntent attributes to visitors of your site. If these visitors later convert, then Rockerbox will include them on the visitors' paths to conversion.
