Reddit: Requesting API Access

In order for Rockerbox to automatically ingest Reddit spend, follow the steps below.

Request API Access from Reddit

First, request Reddit to whitelist your account for API access. Send to your Reddit point of contact the following:

We need Rockerbox, our marketing attribution platform, to access the Reddit API on our behalf in order to report on Reddit spend in their platform. Can you please whitelist our account:

• username: [insert your username]
• email: [insert your email]

Once they grant access, then move on to the next step.

Connect your Reddit Account
Wait for API Access
Note: please be sure to only connect your Reddit account(s) in Rockerbox once Reddit has confirmed it has been whitelisted for API access.

In order to complete this step, you will need the username and password associated with your Reddit account.

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations
  2. Click Add Integration
  3. Find Reddit and click Connect
  4. You will be prompted to authenticate through Reddit. Follow the steps, using your username and password.
    1. NOTE: make sure your username (as shown enclosed in the red box) is the correct account.
  5. Click Allow
