Rockerbox Mapping Hierarchy Overview and Change Request Guidelines
Overview
Rockerbox structures your marketing activity into a standard 5-tiered structure across all of your channel. The goal is to ensure categorization in Rockerbox aligns with how your team reports and optimizes. The same tiered structure will persist across all Rockerbox UI views and reporting.
This starts broad (ex Tier 1 = channel) and becomes increasingly granular (ex Tier 5 = creative name).
Please note that for channels that have integrated spend (list here), the values available for mapping are those that we receive in the spend file. For example, if we receive Adset Name, Campaign Name, and Creative Name in spend, they can all become tier values.
Requesting Mapping Changes
To request changes to your mapping structure, please email support@rockerbox.com.
Note: Rockerbox is designed to support a standardized hierarchy structure (e.g., Channel > Vendor > Campaign > Ad Group > Creative). Requests for custom hierarchy changes or other non-standard configurations are not broadly supported, as they can introduce downstream complexity and affect data consistency across the platform.
Additionally, mapping changes that impact less than 5% of overall marketing activity are not supported, as these changes typically have minimal impact on reporting quality or platform usability.
We review exceptions on a case-by-case basis. If you believe a change is critical to your business needs, please include a brief rationale in your request, and our team will evaluate feasibility.
Rockerbox's Mapping Hierarchy
This gives you flexibility to see both channel and tactic level reporting, but starts with a channel-first breakout.
