Overview of Building an MMM Model
Rockerbox's MMM model is built off two key datasets:
- Sales from Shopify
- Marketing spend from your connected ad platforms
To build an MMM model, we follow this process:
- Customer connects their Shopify and ad accounts for each platform
- Rockerbox ingests 2 years of historical sales and ad spend data
- If you connected more than one ad account per platform, then Rockerbox will ingest for each ad account
- Rockerbox categorizes platforms into subchannels, where appropriate
- If you run a Subscription business, we include first-time sales only
- Using the sales and ad spend data above, Rockerbox builds an MMM model. At this point, you will then be able to view the results in the UI.
