Overview of Building an MMM Model

Rockerbox's MMM model is built off two key datasets:

To build an MMM model, we follow this process:

  1. Customer connects their Shopify and ad accounts for each platform
  2. Rockerbox ingests 2 years of historical sales and ad spend data
    1. If you connected more than one ad account per platform, then Rockerbox will ingest for each ad account
  3. Rockerbox categorizes platforms into subchannels, where appropriate
  4. If you run a Subscription business, we include first-time sales only
  5. Using the sales and ad spend data above, Rockerbox builds an MMM model. At this point, you will then be able to view the results in the UI.
