Google Analytics 4

Updated by Emily Shreero

The Google Analytics 4 integration allows Rockerbox to access aggregate reporting from the GA4 Data API.

Marketers who have historically used GA4 as a source of truth for a core KPI like a specific conversion event or sessions may connect their accounts, allowing Rockerbox to collect aggregate event data for use in:

If available, conversion data from Rockerbox's Data Foundation or from Shopify which use customer-provided geo fields is preferred over GA4 which derives geographic fields from IP address.
User-level conversion data may not be pulled from GA4, meaning the GA4 integration may not be used as a source of truth for MTA conversions or attribution. See accepted data sources here.

Enabling the GA4 Integration in Rockerbox

  1. Confirm that the user connecting GA4 in Rockerbox has GA4 Viewer role assignment or higher permissions.
  2. In your Rockerbox account, navigate to Data > Integrations.
  3. Click the 'Connect New Account' button, navigate to Google Analytics, and click 'Connect'.
  4. Sign in to your GA4 account and complete the authentication flow.
Once connected, users will not see GA4 data in the Rockerbox UI as it is used primarily by internal teams for analysis use cases. For any questions, contact your implementation team at support@rockerbox.com.
